Red Robin walks a fiery line with ghost peppers
Colorado’s Red Robin Burgers has introduced two burgers incorporating so-called “ghost peppers” which are as much as 300 times hotter than jalapenos. However, early reviews indicate that the heat may have been toned down for safety’s sake, according to The Huffington Post.
Vitamin Cottage to challenge Whole Foods?
NewHope360.com reports that Colorado-born Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage plans to raise more than $100 million in an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange and grow from 55 stores in 10 states to more than 1,000 across the country. This puts the company in direct competition with Whole Foods Markets.

According to the Associated Press, the northwestern town lies when it claims the pie title for its annual Fourth of July celebration when the Georgettes pull out their 8-foot-square pie pan and add filling and topping. Organizer Debby Kooy told the Columbia Basin Herald that it’s really a a cobbler – not a pie (no bottom crust) – a cobbler that weighs about half a ton and feeds 1,500 people.
