Ever since Plato pondered what lay beyond the edge of the cave, man has pondered his reality. And that still holds true today, as the Denver Museum of Nature & Science will host “Our Senses: Creating Your Reality,” an exhibit opening April 12. Guests can play with color, patterns, sounds, scents and textures to discover the deeper meanings of our senses.

Activities include: hunting like a snake to find prey using an infrared viewer; dialing into a variety of animal sounds that exist beyond our normal hearing range; explore a garden through the eyes of a bee or butterfly; and sniff out fragrances in a complex scent.

Opens April 12. Runs from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. through Aug. 4. For more information, visit dmns.org/senses. Denver Museum of Nature & Science. 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver. 303-370-6000.
