Few things in life can be as beautiful as the right set of words, punctuated by dramatic pauses and enhanced with impactful symbolism. See words come to life on April 4 as the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Chicana/o Studies Department invites the community to the 12th annual Lalo Delgado Poetry Festival. This year’s theme is Raices Y Alas: Looking Back and Moving Forward — Roots and Wings will center on social action through poetry. The festival will feature nationally-recognized poet Ariana Brown, a black Mexican-American poet from San Antonio, who has earned two Academy of American Poets prizes.
9 A.M. to 2 P.M. Event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Christina M. Sigala at selim@msudenver.edu
