LETTERS: Ward III candidate Jono Scott walks the walk

Editor: I’m writing to share my whole-hearted endorsement of Jono Scott for Ward 3. No one in the Ward 3 race has Jono’s record of public service and history of community involvement. Jono was raised in Ward 3 and after college returned here to raise his family.

If you’re looking for a leader who has already volunteered countless hours to his community, look no further than Jono Scott. As a soccer coach and food bank director, Jono truly “walks the walk” when it comes to giving back.

Jono believes strongly the first job of any elected official is to keep our community safe. That’s why he has earned endorsements from the public safety professionals who keep us safe – International Association of Fire Fighters 1290, The Fraternal Order of Police, and the Aurora Police Association.

As a 12-year veteran of City Council I have seen dozens of candidates come and go. Fortunately, most are well meaning, ambitious and want to serve. Some run for office only to aggrandize themselves. For me, Jono is head and shoulders above other candidates – in terms of character, integrity, experience and love for Aurora.

Vote Jono Scott for Ward 3!
