Editor: Yes, the pandemic has won. Nature tends to take care of stupid, be it taking a closeup selfie with a moose, hiking a mountain trail unprepared, or thinking a virulent virus is no more dangerous than the family pet. With strained resources, we can no longer be certain our moments of foolishness can, or even should be, treated by our over worked health care system. Perhaps vaccination status should be taken into consideration when considering hospital admission. When dogma overrides common sense, the unvaccinated are doomed anyway. Too bad they take the vaccinated elderly and chronically ill with them.
