Editor: I am not welcome, am despised and demeaned in The People’s House…the White House. The president of the country I live in and love just held an event in The People’s House and boasted that “WE” (Republicans loyal to him), were there and “THEY” (Republicans who aren’t “loyal” as well as Democrats and Independents) weren’t.

I’m not even addressing the unprecedented use of The People’s House for a partisan event. The president of my country just boasted that I (one of the “They’s”) and others “like me” weren’t there……..boasted……that I and others like me weren’t there and he and his supporters were….it was their house, not mine, not ours….to be used by them as they chose, for their glory, as their “reward”…. and none of the legislators and supporters questioned whether that was ok…no, they cheered…they did not challenge this president about whether it was ok that I and those like me are unwelcome and excluded, that I and “they” are on the outside and as the “losers” are considered not deserving to be heard or to be there…or anywhere in their country.

I am asking Sen. Cory Gardner whether he will ever listen to and speak up for me and for other “theys” who have been determined to be unworthy of this country by the man he almost without exception supports. Will he become a person “For the all people” or continue to be just for the “We’s”? Will he ever openly challenge the president when he excludes so many of us or will he continue to pledge allegiance to the president as he continuously and with a vengeance tears down the very bedrock of our democracy?
