DENVER | A pedestrian was a hit and killed by an airport commuter train in northeast Denver on Sunday, according to Denver Police Department.
The collision occurred at about 11 a.m. at Smith Road and Monaco Street Parkway, according to Denver Police.
The police are investigating the death and are trying to determine if it was criminal or not, according to a department spokesperson.
The department declined to provide further information until the investigation is complete. The identify of the deceased has not yet been released.
The collision resulted in the closure of Monaco and cessation of the train until about 4 p.m.

How does one manage to get hit by a train? Just get several feet away from the track. Suspect suicide or drunk/drugs.
What we don’t see very often is a follow up piece on things like this. What should be included would be a toxicology report and is this a homeless guy wondering. I’m betting he was stoned or high on something. And this is how you end up in a body bag. We are not going to find some well thought out suicide note.
