Brian Arnold is a man who wears many hats. Though he’s mostly known as the Executive Director of Aurora Warms the Night, he’s also the Chaplain at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital. He’s involved in city committees, works with the Aurora Gang Reduction Impact Program, and is the head of the Aurora branch of Close to home. Outside of all that work he’s a track coach at Cherokee Trail High School and a CHSSA Track Official. His love for the sport spans 30 years, as he ran hurdles and received a scholarship to Azusa Pacific University. He has also coached three Olympians. One earned a gold medal. Portrait by Philip B.
