AURORA | That old Commodore 64 in the closet doesn’t need to take up space any more. The city’s E-Cycle event that was scheduled for Feb. 10 has been rescheduled for March 10. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aurora Central Facilities Recycling Drop-off Site, 13646 E. Ellsworth Ave.
Techno Rescue, a local veteran-owned IT company, will collect and recycle a wide variety of items. “You can bring most items with a cord or a battery, including: VCRs, stereos, printers, fax machines, cell phones, microwaves, small appliances, exercise machines and more,” according to the city’s website.
Some items are not allowed, including exposed or broken CRT tubes, alkaline batteries, car batteries, light bulbs, air conditioners, refrigerators, equipment containing freon and large household appliances.
Prices vary from $5 for LCD monitors on up to $70 for wood console TVs.
