ENGLEWOOD | Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Monday that star cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is week to week with a fractured lower right fibula and will not be placed on injured reserve.

“He needs rest and rehab and we’ll see how it falls in a couple of weeks,” Joseph said.

The Broncos (6-6) won’t need to add another cornerback to the roster as they prepare for their next game, at San Francisco (2-10).

Harris, one of the league’s top outside cornerbacks and the premier slot cornerback over the last several seasons, was injured in Denver’s 24-10 win Sunday at Cincinnati.

Joseph said defensive end Derek Wolfe is day to day with “a small tear in the rib cartilage” and rookie linebacker Josey Jewell is day to day with a mild high ankle sprain.
