AURORA | Aurora police said it appears road-rage was linked to the shooting of a man on a motorcycle Monday on East Colfax Avenue in northwest Aurora.
Police said the motorcyclist was near 14219 E. Colfax Ave. at about 10:15 a.m. when the shooting occurred.
The man was “stopped in a parking lot, when he was shot by an unknown person driving a black SUV,” Aurora police spokesperson Agent Matt Longshore said in a statement. “The suspect, only described as a Hispanic man with a goatee, drove off before officers arrived.”
Police said it’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but that preliminary investigation points to some kind of road-rage incident.
The man on the motorcycle was rushed to a nearby hospital, suffering from “life-threatening” gunfire injuries.
