AURORA | The Vista PEAK Exploratory Cheer Team held a “Mini Bison Cheer Camp” on Saturday, April 23. The camp was held to promote interest in the cheer program as well as serve as a fundraiser for the team. Twenty-three girls in grades preschool through fourth attended camp. On Wednesday, April 27, the girls invited their family, friends and community members to watch a performance of the routine they learned in front of a crowd at the Vista PEAK Exploratory Girls’ Basketball game against Mosley P-8.
The camp shirts were purple in honor of Military Child Appreciation Month. Purple also represented the fact that a number of students at Mosely previously attended Vista PEAK before Mosley was built. The Vista PEAK Bison colors are blue and the Mosley Red-Tailed Hawks colors are red, which just happen to make purple when combined!
