AURORA | Alex Moore has resigned as Eaglecrest’s head girls basketball coach according to athletic director Vince Orlando.

Citing family considerations, Moore stepped down following a season in which the Raptors went 5-19 overall and lost to Ralston Valley in the first round of the Class 5A girls state basketball tournament.

Moore spent two seasons on the bench at Eaglecrest, posting an 11-36 record and one postseason appearance.

The job will be posted on the Cherry Creek School District website by Monday, but Orlando is also fielding inquiries via email at vorlando@cherrycreekschools.org.

A teaching position may be available at the school as well according to Orlando.

Moore will remain at the school as the girls tennis coach.
