Oh come on, Tom. You can’t make it so easy so fast. In former Congressman Tom “Get Off My Land!” Tancredo’s bid to win the Republican nomination to lose to Democrat Incumbent Gov. John “Please Don’t Make Me Commit to Anything” Hickenlooper, Tom has already outdone himself.

While talking to tea party types near Canyon City, the ones outside of the prisons, Tom said that he no longer feels comfortable in Colorado, according to a report in the Canyon City Daily Record. (tinyurl.com/marmxa7)

Ahhhhhhhhhh.

tanc

The irascible and incendiary Tom said Colorado  “is not the state I grew up in.” Tancredo said he wants to feel comfortable here again.

Snort. You got that right, Tom. No more gay hating. No more immigrant-slamming. No more blind allegiance to the oil barons. No more pretending that poor people don’t exist or don’t need to be educated. No more minimalist government that can’t even keep bridges and roads safe and open. No more, Tom. The tea party is over.

So sad that Tom feels unwanted and unneeded in the state that Colorado has become and people are flocking to in records numbers. Too bad he hates a steaming economy moving ahead without creating environmental and industrial nightmares like in Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Ohio…

What to do? What to do? Clearly, there will be no turning back the clock on a cooler, safer, better, happier, more desirable Colorado that cares for everyone of every background. The song of the South is calling, Tom. Everybody gets a gun in Georgia. And Arizona will find a way to boot illegals out of their state or, or, or, something. And Texas is calling, Tom. Although not for long. Latinos and uppity women are poised to wrench that state free from the folks who bring you fertilizer plants without sprinkler systems and politically bombed abortion clinics.

Of course there is one other option, Tom. When in Colorado, do as the Coloradans do. Strap on your backcountry boards and head to a friendly couloir. Drink a Left Hand Nitro. Nosh a little neighborhood chevre. One-hit a little blue-green. Watch some awesome theater. Hop on your bike and go anywhere. Actually, now that I think about it. Some things never change. Maybe that’s why I feel so comfortable here.

  1. I hope little Tommy T. moves his worthless rear-end out of Colorado, I’m a native and don’t recognize the state he’s talking about as he’s too radical for even Republicans to like…

  2. It’s good to see unbiased reporting in the true spirit and best practices of objective journalism.

  3. Rep. and Candidate for Gov. Tom Tancredo has it right for vast number of Colorado Citizens. This state and this country is not the one I grew up and served 26 years in military for. When wife and bought our Aurora home, Aurora had 3,000 residences, with Altura just to the east of us. Now we have over 325,000 with too many from other states, countries, and I have to believe planets, not to mention the Liberals. Liberals seem to think they know so much more than long time citizens, and can manage or control our future, with us needing guidance (mandates) from them. Last 30 years saw the hippies grow up, become parents and grandparents, who do not believe in law, or that we should look for loopholes. As if roads, highways, and freeways were not dangerous enough, now we added legal drugs to alcohol, texting while driving, and scorn for traffic lights or stop signs. Your own disrespect to certain politicians and police, really focus all of us.
