The Hall of Fames at Eaglecrest and Grandview high schools again have a need for nominations for their induction classes coming up later in the year.
Eaglecrest’s Athletics & Activities Hall of Fame will turn 11 years old in 2025 and will welcome its latest class of top former athletes, teams, coaches or contributors in activities at a later ceremony and dinner at Heritage Eagle Bend.
The 2024 Hall of Fame Class was made up of Kailey Wilson (softball) and Dave Howshar (volunteer) — along with former basketball star Colbey Ross, who was unable to attend — in addition to the undefeated 2006 girls volleyball team, which was the first team to be selected. That brought the Eaglecrest HOF to 43 members plus a team.
Those eligible for the Athletic and Activities Hall of Fame must be graduated from Eaglecrest for at least five years (Class of 2020 or earlier) and be nominated by a member of the community. Honorees are selected by a committee of school administrators, members of the community and local media.
Eaglecrest will accept nominations through June 4.

Grandview is only in its third year of Hall of Fame additions, as it was created in 2023 to celebrate the school’s 25th anniversary.
The second Grandview induction class was made up of three former athletes — Greg Bird (baseball, Class of 2011), Brie Oakley (cross country/track & field, Class of 2017) and Lauren Van Orden (volleyball, Class of 2008) — plus thespian Katie Reid (Class of 2005).
That grew Grandview’s Hall of Fame to nine members.
Those selections and those in the future must have been graduated or concluded their service at Grandview at least five years prior, must have demonstrated high moral character and “made valuable contributions and had outstanding accomplishments” in their time at the school. Nominations from the community go to a panel of current and former administrators and teachers, Cherry Creek Schools officials and a local media member for selection.
Grandview is taking nominations for the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 through June 13.
