That’s what the ‘news’ media would have you believe. The administration is sweating their butts off to make jobs (yes, make) and improve the economy (hey, it’s Bush’s fault anyway, right?) while the GOP just gets in the way of their plans for hire, mostly in the public sector, as in Fireman, policeman, school teachers, and infrastructure. Well, he spent $5 Trillion and nothing happened, why not another $5 or $10 thrown on the fire. His ideas were more solar panels and windmills, ah shucks, didn’t work out.
You must recall, ALL the aforementioned jobs are paid for with public money (read taxes) very little private enterprise other than the construction companies partially.
