Stop dragging partisan politics into the issue of Donald Trump’s ability to run the country.
The 18 minute and 21 second prime-time televised rant Wednesday night made clear that Democrats and Republicans, MAGA admirers and Trump detractors alike can now all agree, Trump is whack.
No?
Be as honest as you’ve ever been with yourself for your entire life. If this twitchy and over-caffeinated guy was selling you a time share, a used car, or a $15-a-year service warranty on your toaster, would you trust him?
Of course not.
Even if you think every Democrat ever born was evil incarnate and that God put Black and Asian people on their own part of the globe purposely and expected then to stay there, no even remotely cogent person could watch and listen to Trump bark and speed read his Wednesday manifesto and not think, “this guy is not OK.”
Even with all his charts, bells and whistles, it was unavoidable to understand that Trump erupted at Mt. Vesuvius level of lies that blanketed the nation tonight.
“There has never been anything like it.”
That’s for sure, dude.
It was astonishing that a guy who has all the charm of tyrannical toddler got elected once. But twice? What’s wrong with us that we would do such a thing to ourselves, and the world?
Trump spent 18 minutes in a lightning round of mendacity trying to persuade people who can’t make ends meet that these are the good old days, thanks to him.
Dude, I was in a grocery today looking for cheap ham and came across a marginal beef rib roast that listed for a whopping $19.99 per pound. The asking price for a roast that could feed a small family for Christmas was $197.63.
“I am bringing those high prices down and bringing them down very fast,” Trump said.
No, you’re not.
It’s a big fat lie, And everyone who actually goes to the store and gasps at the prices and pays the tab for just what they could afford knows you’re full of crap, dude.
You’re fast-talk lying about everything.
Housing prices are sky high because “millions and millions” of illegal immigrants are racing into Aurora and scooping up $600,000 homes?
Are you daft enough to think that we are, too?
“We have achieved more than anyone could have imagined,” Trump said.
That’s bullcrap.
You tricked people into imagining that prices for food, rent and health insurance would actually fall if they elected you.
Instead, your “Big, Beautiful Bill” ended the health insurance marketplace exchange subsidies that tens of millions of hardworking people, unable to get also barely affordable group insurance, depended on.
You killed the subsidies, dude. And when Democrats shut down the government to make you give them back, you helped stop them.
And now, because of you, and the Republicans in Congress who cower in fear of your incoherent wrath, their insurance rates will double or more next month.
“Nobody can believe what’s going on.”
True, that, Mr. President. What little credibility you dragged with you and your podcaster toadies and billionaire pals into the White House in January has been eviscerated by your fear of Epstein files, prolific obvious lies and obsession with revenge.Â
It’s over, dude. Even the most ardent xenophobe and anti-immigrant racist watched you tonight and realized, ’I’ve been had.”
The other two-thirds of the country who give you an all-thumbs down on being “the greatest” president the universe has ever seen, and that’s saying something, watched you bark and scowl and squirm like a drunken husband coming in at 3 a.m. and demanding his wife admit what a prize catch he is, and they concluded Wednesday night, this guy is a hot mess,
Only the Republicans in Congress who fear a petty Trumper Tantrum aimed at themselves even more than they dread the wrath of their voters next year are keeping President Amazing in office right now.
But with fewer voters every day ditching gas-lighting sessions like this one, there’s no one left to support this toxic Tyrannical Rex show.
Even FoxNews can’t hide or obscure the reality the entire nation deals with every day. Even MAGA poddies are pointing out that this administration doesn’t have the temerity to face reality, let alone promote it.
A Ford pick-up truck costs between $40,000 and $100,000. A small can of mixed nuts was $7 today at the grocery store. A Coke is $2.69, and even more than that at a gas station.
Drag out all the charts, excuses and blame games you want, dude. Americans know their eyes ain’t lying.
“There has never been anything like this in the history of our country.”
And if the courts uphold the Constitution and voters learn their lesson, there never will be again.
Thanks, however, for taking 18 minutes tonight to make clear what too many Americans just couldn’t get their heads around for the last 10 years.
No one has ever seen anything like it.

My Dad used to say, “If you can’t dazzle with brilliance, baffle ’em with BS! That pretty much sums up Trump’s affordability message. To Trump voters: the emporer has no clothes! Were at the apex of people in the GOP unwilling to disagree with Trumpty Dumpty when he needs it most. However, it’s a teachable moment for the country! When you surround yourself with toadies loaded up with incompetence, you lose all true perspective and don’t realize your schtick is no longer selling!
The same people complaining the loudest about prices helped cause them by voting for Biden/Harris in 2020, and now protecting the 20 million illegal aliens from deportation, who are competing with American citizens for food and housing, thereby keeping prices high. Sorry, no sympathy for you.
