Smoky Hill High School track coach Jeff Bliven and his wife are OK after two explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Brian Manley, who coaches with Bliven, said he received word that Bliven and his wife Chris — who were in Boston to run in the marathon — weren’t among the victims of the blasts, which killed at least two people and injured nearly 100 others in early estimates by Boston police.

Reached by text message, Jeff Bliven confirmed he and his wife were unharmed.

According to the marathon’s athlete tracker, Chris Bliven crossed the finish line at 2:45 p.m. ET, about 15 minutes before the first explosion.

Jeff Bliven ran in the Boston Marathon in 2011.

The Boston Marathon website lists seven runners from Aurora entered in the race, but only three crossed the finish line.
