AURORA | Police say some kind of dispute between two unidentified people in an Aurora convenience store parking lot led to a shooting Wednesday evening that resulted in one person being injured and finding their way to a nearby hospital.

The shooting occurred some time before 5 p.m., when police issued a tweet, outside a 7-Eleven store at 14593 E. Mississippi Ave.

“Initial investigation found that the suspect and victim are known to each other,” police said on social media, “This was not a random incident. Detectives will work with the victim to continue the investigation.”

No suspect information was released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.

  1. How can a person shoot another, especially someone he knows? I know it happens, but I truly do not understand HOW it is even possible. Have we really become that devoid of any conscience? Are people no longer able to solve disputes verbally? It all leaves me very sad.
