COPENHAGEN, Denmark | The latest developments in the attack on a Swedish school by a knife-wielding masked man (all times local):
4:45 p.m.
Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf says the Scandinavian country “is in shock” following the deadly school stabbing in Trollhattan, north of Goteberg, Sweden’s second-largest city.
In a statement, the king said Thursday the royal family had received the news “with great dismay and sadness.”
Carl XVI Gustaf added the Swedish royals’ “thoughts are with the victims and relatives of the victims” and that students and staff at the school need support.
A student and teacher were killed and another student and teacher were badly wounded. The 21-year-old attacker was shot and killed by police.

4:30 p.m.
A police spokesman in Sweden says the masked 21-year-old blamed for a deadly school attack in the town of Trollhattan was not known to police but they searched his home and found things “that are interesting for the investigation.”
Police spokesman Thord Haraldsson said at a press conference that the attacker used sharp stabbing weapons, but he declined to be more specific or give details about the identity of the attacker or the victims. A teacher and student died and another teacher and student were badly injured in the attack Thursday morning. Police have not disclosed a motive.
The attacker was shot by police and later died.
Up to 50 police officers were questioning teachers, students and others.

A police official in Sweden says a man who killed two people and wounded two others in a deadly knife attack at a school has died.
Police spokesman Thord Haraldsson said Thursday the attacker died after being shot by police who responded to the school in Trollhattan, near Goteborg, Sweden’s second-largest city.
He told a news conference that the masked attacker knocked on the doors to two classrooms and stabbed the people who opened the doors.
One teacher and one student were killed and another student and another teacher were badly injured. Police have not yet given a motive.

A police spokeswoman says a second victim has died in the attack on a school in southern Sweden by a knife-wielding man.
Police spokeswoman Maria Randsalu said Thursday that the second victim is a male student, but didn’t provide further details. Students fled from the Kronan school in Trollhattan, near Goteborg, Sweden’s second-largest city, after the attack in a cafe near the school just after 10 a.m., police said.
Police arrived to find one male teacher already dead and two students, aged 11 and 15, and another male teacher wounded. The second victim was one of those students.
The agnostic / atheistic Swedes have adopted ‘humanism’ as their de-facto state religion. Allowing over a million immigrants (and counting) into their small country, many of whom aspire to Shariah Law, has been a feel-good gesture carried to an absurd extreme. Demographers are now predicting Sweden will be an Islamic state by the end of the century.
