AURORA | Sock it to Aurora today.
Aurora police and firefighters are host to an event for Saturday only asking residents to donate new socks, undergarments, toiletries and non-perishable food to a bevy of locations across the city.
It’s the premier “Aurora Day of Giving,” intended to raise goods and awareness for the city’s homeless community.
“Your contributions will be used to create dignity packs for community members and will be distributed by the Aurora Day Resource Center,” police officials said in a statement.
Donations will be accepted 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at any Aurora fire station, library or recreation center.Sock it to Aurora today.
