AURORA | Five people were shot, two fatally, Wednesday night, at an apartment in northwest Aurora, police said.
Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Billings Street at about 9:30 p.m. after reports of a shooting there.
“When officers arrived at the scene, they located multiple victims with apparent gunshot wounds,” according to Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan. “Five people sustained gunshot wounds during the shooting. Two later died from their injuries at local hospitals. Three others sustained nonfatal gunshot wounds.”
Dead are a 41-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male, neither identified at this time.
“The three surviving victims are an 18-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman,” Moylan said.
Investigators said it appears the victims and shooter knew one another.
“However, there is no suspect information and no arrests have been made,” Moylan said.
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
