AURORA | A 16-year-old boy was shot dead in the driveway of a southeast Aurora home early Sunday, and police have released few details about the shooting so far.
Officers were called to a home in the 3400 block of South Jebel Court just after midnight after reports of a shooting there.
“When officers arrived on scene, they located a 16-year-old male laying in a driveway with an apparent gunshot wound,” Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement. “The victim was pronounced at the scene.”
The home is in the Conservatory at the Plains neighborhood, adjacent to Blue Grama Grass Park.
“There is no suspect information and no arrests have been made,” Moylan said “The investigation is active and ongoing.”
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
