AURORA | A staff sergeant in the United States Air Force is facing sexual assault charges in Aurora and Colorado Springs after a string of attacks, Colorado Springs police said this week.

Desmond Alvis Martin, 29, of Colorado Springs, is charged with three 2015 sexual assaults in Colorado Springs and one 2016 sexual assault in Aurora, according to a statement from Colorado Springs police.

He has been in custody since Feb. 15.

Colorado Springs said they, along with Aurora police, Denver police and the FBI, “are actively pursuing additional leads regarding these or any additional incidents involving Mr. Martin.”

Police said Martin is stationed at Peterson Air force Base in Colorado Springs.
