AURORA | Alpine Bank is bringing a taste of neighborly local cuisine this weekend with the launch of the first Community Cookbook of Northwest Aurora and East Denver and a celebration honoring the winner of the bank’s Community Voice Award.
The free, family-friendly event is scheduled 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St. in Aurora.
Guests can sample the award-winning recipe from a contest held earlier this year, meet local cookbook contributors and learn about the diverse food traditions that shape the community.
“This cookbook is a celebration of the people and flavors that make Aurora so special,” said Briana Fernandez Luna, Alpine Bank Aurora’s senior vice president. “We’re proud to honor the Community Voice Award winner and bring neighbors together around food, fun and shared values.”
The cookbook features 20 recipes selected from dozens of submissions collected over the summer. One standout dish earned the top prize — the $1,500 Community Voice Award — for its creativity and community connection.
Attendees will have the chance to taste that winning recipe, enter raffles for Stanley Marketplace gift cards and club-level tickets to the Nov. 6 Broncos-Raiders game, and learn more about the 20 local dishes showcased in the cookbook.
As part of the celebration, Alpine Bank will make a charitable donation to We Don’t Waste, a local nonprofit that reduces food insecurity and waste across the metro area. Representatives from the organization, along with chefs from TAG Restaurant Group and the cookbook’s featured community members, will be on hand.
