AURORA | Aurora police released a video Thursday showing two people who might have details about a shooting last week that left one man dead and upped the reward offered for information on the case to $7,000.
The man, whose name has not been released by the Adams County coroner’s office, was found dead Aug. 14 in an apartment at 1568 Nome St.
Police said Thursday that the people in the video, who are seen walking in a parking lot, “may be witnesses or have information related to this homicide.”
Crime Stoppers offered a $2,000 reward for information last week and police said Thursday that the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has offered another $5,000.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective Chuck Mehl at 303-739-6213. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward.
Tipsters may also call 1-800-ATF-GUNS.
The ATF reward is being offered through a partnership with ATF and Aurora police called the Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) initiative.
