AURORA | On a cold and windy day at Aurora Hills Golf Course, Centennial League girls golfers grinded it out Thursday in the second tournament of the season.
In a carbon copy of the opening meeting at Kennedy Golf Course, Grandview finished second in the team standings, sandwiched between winner Cherry Creek and third-place Arapahoe, while Cherokee Trail jumped over Mullen this time to take fourth place.
Eaglecrest finished sixth for the second straight tournament, while neither Overland or Smoky Hill had golfers entered.
Leading the way for coach Mary Danielson’s Grandview team were senior Caroline O’Donnell and junior Morgan Sahm, who both carded rounds of 83 to finish in a three-way tie for second place, two strokes behind individual medalist Lucas of Cherry Creek.
