AURORA | A man found lying in a northwest Aurora street Saturday afternoon was fatally shot, and police have few leads so far.

Police were called at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday by a resident on the 1900 block of Kingston Street who said they were returning home and saw a man lying in the roadway, apparently suffering a gunshot wound, Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement.

The man was taken rushed to a nearby hospital but died there from his gunfire injuries, police said.

No other details about the shooting were available.

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
