MILLERSVILLE, Pa. | The boyfriend of a Pennsylvania college freshman is facing a homicide charge after her lifeless body was found inside a campus dormitory.

Authorities said Monday they added the charge of criminal homicide against Gregorio Orrostieta after an autopsy showed signs that Millersville University student Karlie Hall had suffered multiple injuries from a beating and had been strangled.

Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman says Orrostieta didn’t mention anything about strangulation when he told police he shoved Hall and hit her with the back of his hand.

Stedman says the victim suffered “a number of injuries on a number of parts of her body.”

He says Hall fought for her life.

The two had been dating for about 11 months. Orrostieta isn’t a student at the public university near Lancaster.
