AURORA | City officials are looking for those interested bestowing a world of food on the Great Lawn of City Hall later this summer.

“The goal is to have the coolest multi-cultural food event the town has ever seen featuring Aurora restaurants, caterers and bakers,” said John Lehndorff, local food writer and former regional dinging critic, who is part of the team organizing the event.

Aurora’s International Roundtable and other city officials are holding an open house 6 p.m. June 11 at the MLK Library, 9898 E. Colfax Ave. Officials will explain how to participate as a food vendor in this premier event. Global Fest is anticipated to be the biggest, most diverse foodie and culture event in the area, focusing on the wealth of international cultures that call the greater Aurora area home.

Planners are looking for ethnic and international markets and restaurants to participate. The festival is slated for Aug. 23. For information call Chip Scott at 303-739-7756
