After lots of saving and closing and furloughing and pennypinching, Aurora now has a full piggy bank, and plenty of people saying, “Let’s spend it on something!” Personally, I would love to put a little of it toward our very own arts center (think Arvada Center or Lakewood Cultural Center), but thinking a little harder, how about something everyone could benefit from, like lowering the city’s water rates. After all, over the many years I’ve lived here, it’s been conserve, raise, conserve, raise, conserve, raise – how about a decrease? Or, possibly, restore some of the jobs and functions that have been cut, or give decent raises to city workers who have gone along with the flow and toughed it out these last several years. There are lots of possibilities.

as long as you keep electing democrats you will have them wasting this money and taxing you more….they will never give you a tax break….ever…they will keep ripping you off for more and more money.
