DEAR EDITOR: I have become accustomed to Dave over using the word “suck” in his editorials.  This is an offensive word, but I guess it is part of his vocabulary.

As I scanned through the Feb. 28 issue, I was not surprised to read Dave used the word again: page 4 “It is a rushing wave of suck.”

Then, I was disgusted to find the word used twice in the article “Winter Pet Peeves.” But on further reading, I discovered these sections were not written by Dave, but by two staff members (Page 13, “It sucks”, Quincy Snowden and page 14, “Total frozen suck”, Sasha Heller.)

This seems to be the “erudite” vernacular of The Sentinel staff.  One would think that educated journalists would use a larger vocabulary instead of lowering to street level talk.
