AURORA | Two men were shot Wednesday evening in Aurora after “exchanging words” with another group of men in the parking lot of an apartment complex near South Buckley Road and East Iliff Avenue. Both men were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
No information about suspects were available. Police said their gang unit is helping investigate the shooting.
According to police, at about 6 p.m. April 3 police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2200 block of South Buckley Road. Investigators say two men were walking through the parking lot of the apartment complex when they came across another group of men.
Police said “words were exchanged” between the groups. It wasn’t clear if the men knew each other before the shooting.
A blue SUV and a red SUV were seen leaving the area, but police are unsure if the vehicles are related to the shooting.
