AURORA | Police continue to investigate an early Sunday morning shooting near the border between Denver and Aurora.

The man who was wounded in the shooting in the 1100 block of Yosemite Street remains hospitalized, police said, and no arrests have been made.

The shooting happened around 5:15 a.m. Sunday on the Aurora side of Yosemite, police said.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot laying on the ground on the Denver side of the street. Investigators later learned the man was at a party in the area that night and had been shot while in Aurora and staggered to the Denver side of the street, where he collapsed.

Police described the man’s injuries as “life threatening.”
