AURORA | Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man facing felony domestic charges stemming from a Jan. 23 attack near Smoky Hill Road and South Picadilly Street.
Rito David Mendez, 34, is wanted on charges including first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and felony menacing, according to a statement from the Arapahoe County sheriff’s office.
The incident happened Saturday, Jan. 23, in the 5400 block of S. Perth Way in Centennial and was domestic violence related, according to the statement.
Mendez is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall and weighing about 205 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
The statement said he was last seen driving a white 1997 Chevy Tahoe, Colorado license plate 905SXU.
The sheriff’s office said Mendez is presumed to be dangerous and said anyone who sees him should not approach and should instead call law enforcement immediately.
