PUEBLO | Pueblo County authorities have arrested a man accused of trying to sell radioactive scrap metal.

J.D. Sutcliffe was arrested Monday on a warrant for the criminal use of a noxious substance.

An affidavit said Sutcliffe had been banned from two yards where he repeatedly tried selling metal that wouldn’t pass radiation tests.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain (https://bit.ly/O0FRox ), a load of radioactive pipe turned up at a scrap yard. Authorities did not disclose the source of the radioactive material.
