AURORA | An unidentified man was found dead in Sand Creek Tuesday afternoon in north central Aurora, police said.
An apparent cause of death was not released.
Police said someone saw the man in the water and call dispatchers for help about 3:15 p.m. The man’s body was found in the creek, north of a trail near East 23rd Avenue between Sable Boulevard and Chambers Road.
The incident was reported Tuesday evening. Police said traffic in the area was restricted for a short time during an investigation.
County coroner officials are expected to release the man’s identity and cause of death.
