MONTEZUMA, Colo. | Flooding has cut off access to the small Summit County town of Montezuma.

The Snake River overflowed its banks where a culvert was jammed with debris on Tuesday, washing away about part of the road leading to Montezuma and leaving the rest under water.

A voluntary evacuation order has been issued. KYSL-FM reports that several of the 65 full-time residents were staying in town Wednesday even though it could take several days to a week to get the road open again.

The town is located near Arapahoe Basin and Keystone ski resorts.
