DENVER | The Grandview girls basketball team did a lot of sharing Friday afternoon and it led to another trip to the Class 5A Final Four.

Over and over, the Wolves fed each other up and down the floor for easy baskets and it all added up to a 62-45 Class 5A Great 8 playoff victory over Valor Christian at the Denver Coliseum that kept alive their quest to win a third straight state championship.

Coach Josh Ulitzky’s sixth-seeded Grandview team had four players score eight or more points — led by senior Alisha Davis’ 20 — to down the third-seeded Eagles for a second time on the season and qualify for the Final Four for a fourth straight season.

Junior Tomia Johnson added 11 points, senior Allyah Marlett had 10 and sophomore Addison O’Grady finished with eight as the Wolves emerged from the Alice Barron Region to claim the spot opposite rival and second-seeded Regis Jesuit in the semifinals.

The two Aurora teams — who met for the state championship last season — play at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Denver Coliseum to determine which will play in this season’s state final.
