The children are the future so let’s set them up proper-like. Today’s world is constantly changing — see its evolution and experience its impact at Social Spheres, an exhibit presented by DAVA running through Sept. 6 at DAVA’s studio.
Middle and high school students in DAVA’s Job Training Program created an installation of ceramic roads representing social spaces and media. Computer art lab students captured sounds from social spaces and designed digital images of their physical and virtual environments. Students ages 7-17 in the DAVA Open Studio created a new community inspired by a workshop with guest artist Becky Wareing Steele on creating miniature spaces and models.
Free reception from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., June 20. Exhibition runs through Sept. 6. DAVA is located at 1405 Florence St. All of DAVA’s exhibitions are free and open to the public from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday through Friday or by appointment. For more information, please email [email protected]
