Five Points Jazz Festival returns bring the bop (and other genres)


Unless it’s from Utah, jazz is beloved in this state. From the mountains to the Front Range, Colorado has adopted jazz and fostered the local scene while bringing in big names from across the jazz world. The Five Points Jazz Festival has been one such event for more than fifteen years. With three blocks, 50 bands, 11 stages, a parade, and various vendors jazz will prove once again why it is such a welcome art form in the metro area.

The festival begins 11 A.M., May 18 and goes through 1 A.M., May 19. Admission is free. Welton St. between 26th Street and 29th Street Apps for iPhone and Android are available by looking up “5 Points Jazz” by Denver Arts & Venues.
