Be vewy, vewy quiet for the Aurora Symphony’s upcoming performance

When you think of “family friendly,” your mind may not drift towards relentless hunters in a psychotic frenzy using explosives to kill their prey. But with the Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and other MGM and Hanna-Barbera classics, childhood and violence go hand-in-hand, as well as all the catchy tunes these shows provided. That’s why Aurora Symphony is inviting you to join a flashback to days long past with their free concert “Tunes for Toons,” perfect for kids of all ages, grown-up or not. The classical music that made these cartoons so special will be brought to life for a new generation.

1 P.M., Feb. 10. Concert is free but RSVP is requested. The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St., Aurora. 720-262-3850; [email protected]
