AURORA | Grab your dancing shoes and picnic baskets, it’s time for Aurora’s summer concert series.
The City of Aurora this week released the dates of seven concerts set to take place in public parks across Aurora throughout June and July. The shows run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday from June 16 through July 28.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the annual series, and the city will celebrate the occasion with additional fanfare at the June 30 show. The last concert of the series, scheduled for July 28, will also feature extra hoopla (likely birthday cake) in honor of the city’s ongoing 125th birthday celebrations.
All the concerts are free and will have food available for sale from local vendors, including Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, McAlister’s Deli and Legends of Aurora Sports Grill. Food providers will rotate each week.
