12th annual Lalo Delgado Poetry Festival

Few things in life can be as beautiful as the right set of words, punctuated by dramatic pauses and enhanced with impactful symbolism. See words come to life on April 4 as the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Chicana/o Studies Department invites the community to the 12th annual Lalo Delgado Poetry Festival. This year’s theme is Raices Y Alas: Looking Back and Moving Forward — Roots and Wings will center on social action through poetry. The festival will feature nationally-recognized poet Ariana Brown, a black Mexican-American poet from San Antonio, who has earned two Academy of American Poets prizes.

9 A.M. to 2 P.M. Event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Christina M. Sigala at [email protected]
