Aurora police looking into 2 shootings Tuesday night


AURORA | Aurora police are investigating a pair of back-to-back shootings that left two men injured Tuesday night.

Police said a man was shot near the intersection of East Sixth Avenue and Sable Boulevard at 8:39 p.m. Nov. 24. The man who was shot drove himself to the hospital, investigators said in a tweet.

It’s unclear where on his body or how many times the man was shot. Investigators had not collected any information on the shooter as of Tuesday evening.

About 30 minutes later, authorities said another man was shot near the intersection of East Montview Boulevard and Lansing Street. The man is expected to survive his injuries.

Police believe the suspected the shooter or shooters fired out of a car. They fled the area after weapons were discharged.
