University of Colorado phasing out double-dippers


BOULDER, Colo. | The University of Colorado is phasing out retirees who continue to work for the institution while collecting their retirement pay.

Under state law, the university can fill 10 positions with employees who have retired and are collecting state pension benefits while earning nearly full pay for continuing to work.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), the university wants to replace short-term employees and focus on long-term projects through 2030.
