ASPEN, Colo. | A man suspected of robbing an Aspen pot shop is facing charges in Missouri related to a chase that reached 100 miles per hour and ended with a stolen vehicle crashing head-on into a patrol car.
The Aspen Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1SQMIOP) 21-year-old Hayden May was taken into custody Wednesday by St. Louis County police. Authorities started searching for May after marijuana valued at about $11,000 was taken from a downtown Aspen shop.
Police suspect May stole the vehicle from his former employer and crashed it into two cars and a utility pole prior to his arrest.
Lab tests will determine if two jars and a plastic bag found inside the vehicle contained marijuana.
The patrol car driver sustained minor injuries.
May is facing charges in Aspen and Missouri.
