Several Aurora connections to Denver shootings

A brazen mid-afternoon quadruple shooting in northeast Denver last week appears to have several Aurora connections.

The Friday afternoon shooting at Bruce Randolph Avenue and York Street left two men dead and two others injured.

In a statement Friday, Denver police said four men were standing on the corner when two men approached, pulled out guns and shot all four before fleeing the area on foot.

According to Denver police, two suspects were arrested Monday in connection with the slayings. Marquise Davis, 23, was arrested Sunday morning in the 15800 block of East 13th Place in Aurora. Denzel Richardson, 20, was arrested Sunday afternoon in 900 block of South Peoria Street in Aurora. It wasn’t immediately clear if the two men were arrested at their homes or where they lived.

Police did not release either man’s mug shot.

Aurora police assisted with both arrests.

According to the Denver Medical examiner, one of the men killed, Deon Rudd, 30, lived in Aurora. The medical examiner didn’t release a hometown for the other man killed, Justin O’Donnell, 21.
