Poll shows 61% of Coloradans favor legalizing pot

Results of a new poll released on June 11 show that 61 percent of “likely voters” in Colorado support legalizing marijuana and regulating it like alcohol and cigarettes. Of the 500 people surveyed by Rasmussen Reports, 27 percent were opposed and 12 percent were undecided.
The results come ahead of the November election, where voters will be asked whether they want to legalize marijuana.
The survey, conducted June 6, asked voters a bevy of questions related to marijuana, President Barack Obama and presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
The marijuana-related questions were as follows:

Should it be a crime for people to smoke marijuana in their own home or the home of a friend?

Would you favor or oppose legalizing marijuana and regulating it in the similar manner to the way alcohol and tobacco cigarettes are regulated today?

Suppose that marijuana was legalized and regulated so that it was illegal for people under 18 to buy, that those who drove while under the influence of marijuana received strict penalties, and that smoking marijuana was banned in public places like restaurants. With such regulations in place, would you favor or oppose legalizing and regulating marijuana?

Suppose that, if marijuana was legalized and regulated, it could be sold only in pharmacies. Drug dealers who sold marijuana on the street would be subject to strict jail sentences. Would that reduce the number of drug dealers in the count.

If marijuana was legalized and regulated, but could be sold only in pharmacies, would you favor or oppose legalizing and regulating marijuana?

Polls don’t mean didley squat when laws are involved for drugs, abortion, or civil unions.   Only votes,  with registered and legal voters , and we had those.  I do not participate in polls or research, using ID block, blocking anonomymus callse or out of state or area calls,  and comcast allows me to block 12 of the most persistent callers who can bypass my blocking gates.   But I do vote, and I do my own research of articles.   I will note vote for products sold by drug cartels, or smuggled by same.
