DENVER | A group opposing the artist Christo’s Over the River project is getting a chance to air objections with the Colorado Transportation Commission.

The group Rags Over the Arkansas River, or ROAR, claims the proposal to suspend huge fabric panels over portions of the Arkansas River along U.S. 50 is too dangerous and will obstruct traffic. The display is expected to be ready by August 2015.

According to the Denver Post (https://bit.ly/PzhEV2 ), the group plans to discuss problems with the project on Thursday, including how the 15-ton mobile drilling rigs used on the project will block both traffic lanes of U.S. 50.
